How Do I Keep My Reusable Shopping Bag Clean in Order to Keep My Family Safe?

By now we should all have our own reusable shopping bag. How do we take care of them since we do not want to get sick from bacteria inside them?

With all of the media hype in the past few months about everyone reducing the use of plastic bags. We all now hopefully own many reusable shopping bags. The question on everyone’s mind is how do we keep ourselves and our family safe from bags that will get dirty? Here I will explain the measures I have taken to do just that. 1- The first thing I did was to figure out a way to carry home my fresh meat without contaminating my reusable grocery shopping bags. We all have had meat leak into and onto our other groceries. I first tried using paper bags inside and having the checkout clerk put all my meat inside. The problem with this method for me was that the paper bags would get wet and then leak into my reusable grocery bag. This did not appeal to me whatsoever.

2- The second thing I considered was to use large freezer bags but I figured that this would and could get expensive. You can wash these bags out only so many times.

3- Finally what I did for my fresh meat was to get myself resealable vinyl shopping bags that are insulated like the ones used when people go camping. These work exceptionally well since all I need to do when I get home is to turn them inside out and give them a fast wipe with a soft cloth soaked in soap and water. Once they are dry I merely turn them right side in. The fact that they are insulated helps to protect my meat from the hot weather.

4- As for my other groceries personally I have a preference. I like to use more fashion reusable bags purely because everyone seems to have all the same ones and yes I like to stand out, and No I am not afraid to be different. They cost a little more but they are worth the extra cost as they seem to be better built. I think this will extend the life of my bags since I like to over stuff them. When they get dirty I give them a good wash, let them dry well to avoid mildew and that is it.

5- One thing I never do is use these bags to go and buy clothing, or shoes, or anything that is not from a grocery store. Once again I have a nice fashionable reusable shopping bag. My house is blue with white trim, and that’s what I chose to use for the outdoor d?�cor and interior D?�cor by curtain rods and window coverings: my chair cushions are a great blue floral, the stone deck is colored blue-gray and I just planted one of those gorgeous blue hyacinths next to the neighbor’s white fence. Now, I could have gone with a green palate because there’s so much green in the yard already (grass, trees), but that’s just me.

Now comes the fun – uh, I mean the hard part: shopping for everything you need. And color coordinating and curtain rods & window coverings it. And making sure the styles coordinate. And having friends over to analyze the work (over food and drinks of course). And somehow, somehow managing to hold up under the enormous amount of praise and compliments you’ll receive for your labors.

I visited the Long Beach Flea Market and Antiques Fair in Long Beach, California today and was immediately struck by a young man wearing a rosary bead necklace around his neck. (I just saw Justin Combs, P Diddy’s son, wearing one on a TV show just an hour before that).

After walking into the event, I was immediately attracted to a table featuring Rosary Beads, Religious Charm Bracelets, Religious medals and many other Religious articles which apparently were selling quite well. I also did see this type of product at other stations within the Flea Market. In speaking with the proprietress, I learned that many of the Rosaries are of Bohemian Czech Glass and are being created in Bohemia by a very special family.

The Religious jewelry theme trend has been rearing its head for several seasons, and it was very strongly represented in the European Department and Specialty stores, especially in Paris as early as 2006.

I was visiting Paris to attend the Bijorcha jewelry show and spent some time shopping and scouting out trends featured by the Parisian jewelry designers. I came back from that trip with many ideas which were later incorporated into my collection for Jewelbox Designs.

Over the course of the last few weeks, I have come across several other young men wearing Rosary Beads around their necks. I tend to believe this trend will gain momentum into Spring, and we may see another rebirth of “Madonna Style” from the 80’s as we approach the Fall 2010 Fashion Season.…

How Dental Veneers Are Replaced

At HDIL Couture week 2010

Two is a company and three’s crowd! Not exactly, when threesome are Amitabh Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan and Shahrukh Khan that too setting the ramp on fire.

Getting showstoppers from Bollywood is not that tough, it’s just the matter of time which assures that they are free from their hectic shooting schedules. But at HDIL Couture week 2010, the king of casting coup pulled a memorable show for his designer brand. Karan Johar and Varun Bahl new line of splendid clothes for men was no less dramatic than a film.

Amitabh dressed in black from top to bottom walked the ramp like a king while Hrithik’s charismatic looks teamed with attire reminiscent of mighty knights and the lords of bygone era left the onlookers spellbound. Yes the collection was inspired by the Victorian era and had formal wears like suits, shirts, overcoats and also men’s accessories.

However the finale by Shahrukh and the jig on the ramp was just what everyone wanted to see – Bollywood at its best. Dancing to the tune of “Shava Shava” and “Ek Pal Ka Jeena”, the show was a thrilling experience for all who were seated there.

Karan knows how to attract his audiences through his films, and one can’t question his designing credibility. This man can not only write reams and reams on romance, he is creative too about the cuts as well as the silhouette.

For the last year show, Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan were on ramp. Apart from the showstoppers, the show has many guests from the industry frat, SRK’s wife Gauri Khan was present there along with the bubbly Preity Zinta, sisters Karisma and Kareena Kapoor were in attendance, Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor with daughter Sonam, Rani Mukerji, Hrithik’s wife Sussanne, Urmila Matondkar, Raveena Tandon, Rahul Khanna, Dino Morea all were there cheering for their favourite director as well as the designer.…
